20th Edition of the Cameroonian Cultural Day at Ibn Tofail University.

Ibn Tofail University, in collaboration with the CASAM Cameroonian Student Association in Morocco, organized the 20th edition of the Cameroonian Cultural Day on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the university theater, under the theme: Cameroon, Africa in Miniature, Diversity, Preservation, and Promotion of Cultural Heritage.

This cultural day took place in the presence of diplomatic bodies, notably the representatives of the Cameroonian and Chadian Embassies in Morocco. This served as a significant platform for encouraging students to appreciate and celebrate cultural diversity. By showcasing the richness and uniqueness of the Cameroonian heritage, students were encouraged to explore and preserve their cultural roots while fostering international connections.

This event contributes to the promotion of cultural diversity, sustainable communities, and global partnerships. The cultural day supported UIT’s aim to achieve Quality Education by fostering cultural awareness and understanding among students, promoting a more inclusive and diverse educational environment. By emphasizing the importance of preserving and valuing cultural heritage, the event aligns also with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by fostering a sense of identity and community among students, contributing to the development of inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable urban environments.
