Welcome to Ibn Tofail University (ITU), an academic gem nestled within the majestic Maamora Forest. Our multi-disciplinary university offers a diverse range of study programs covering Arts and Humanities, Law, Economics, Management, Literature and Languages, Chemistry, Science and Technology, as well as business and engineering schools. Founded on October 23, 1989, by Dahir 1.89.144 of 22 Rabiae1st 1410, ITU is committed to a mission of outstanding education and research. With a campus of over 8 hectares, our university welcomes over 100,000 students to a dynamic environment of learning, discovery, and development. The university currently comprises eleven institutions: six regulated-access and five open-access.

Ibn Tofail University also has a set of infrastructures common to all its establishments:

  • A central library;
  • A university theater to international standards;
  • A space for students with disabilities;
  • Fields and sports facilities to international standards;
  • A 2000-seat sports hall;

  • Numerous infrastructures;
  • A digital learning lab.

Management Bodies at Ibn Tofail University

As a public university in Morocco, Ibn Tofail University is governed by its own University Council. This council comprises appointed and elected members, in accordance with the principle of parity. Among these members, a management board has been set up to handle administrative and financial matters.

In addition, the University Council is responsible for setting up permanent committees and, if necessary, ad hoc committees, in accordance with article 14 of Dahir no. 1-00-199 (May 19, 2002) promulgating Law no. 01-00 on the organization of higher education.
