Ibn Tofaïl University in Kénitra has entered into a strategic agreement with FOUGHAL, a public transport company, to offer affordable and efficient mobility solutions for its students and staff. This collaboration, formalized on January 10, 2023, reflects a shared commitment to facilitating campus access while promoting sustainability and well-being within the university community.
As a result of this partnership, the campus is served by several bus lines covering various districts of the city. FOUGHAL offers preferential rates for students upon presentation of their student card, along with a dedicated subscription card. This card allows students to travel at discounted rates, with monthly subscriptions starting from 50 MAD, designed to make commuting more convenient and cost-effective. To ensure a smoother transport experience, students can also download a mobile app, which makes traveling even more practical and efficient. More details can be found on FOUGHAL’s website: https://foughalbus.ma/kenitra/.

As part of its ecological commitment and its “Green and Open” identity, Ibn Tofaïl University has also implemented a sustainable mobility system on its campus. This system includes 10 electric scooters and two electric cars, powered by solar charging stations, as well as 10 electric bicycles available for students, faculty, and administrative staff. This unique initiative, especially in developing countries, is part of the university’s policy of innovation and technology transfer, further strengthening its electromobility station.
These initiatives improve the accessibility, convenience, and efficiency of transport for the university community, while promoting environmentally-friendly and sustainable mobility.
