Event : 2 December 2025
On December 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM, the Code 212 Center at Ibn Tofail University will host an ambitious Innovation Camp. Organized in partnership with Injaz Al-Maghrib and Crédit Agricole du Maroc, this event is designed to harness the creative energy of students to solve real-world financial challenges using cutting-edge technology.
The central challenge of the camp focuses on a critical pillar of the Moroccan economy: the rural entrepreneur. Participants are tasked with developing strategies for how Crédit Agricole du Maroc can leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze the behaviors of rural business owners. The goal is to design personalized financial solutions that not only meet banking needs but also maximize the social and economic impact within rural communities.
This initiative aligns perfectly with the university’s mission to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice. By placing students at the heart of the “FinTech” revolution, the camp encourages them to think critically about data ethics, predictive modeling, and the unique socio-economic landscape of the Moroccan countryside.
To incentivize high-level innovation, the organizers have announced a special prize for the winning team. This reward recognizes the most feasible, impactful, and innovative AI-driven solution, providing the winners with a significant boost to their professional and entrepreneurial profiles.
Beyond the competition, this event serves as a platform for networking and mentorship. Students will have the opportunity to interact with experts from the banking sector and entrepreneurship coaches, fostering a spirit of leadership and social responsibility. This Innovation Camp represents a vital step toward creating a more inclusive and technologically advanced financial future for Morocco.
The Innovation Camp at the Code 212 Center directly advances several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by transforming how rural entrepreneurs interact with the financial system. By challenging students to develop AI-driven behavioral analysis, the event supports Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, specifically targeting the expansion of financial services to small-scale enterprises. It also acts as a powerful catalyst for Decent Work and Economic Growth by promoting technology-led entrepreneurship and innovation that can formalize and grow rural businesses. Furthermore, by using Artificial Intelligence to create personalized financial profiles for underserved populations, the initiative contributes to No Poverty and Reduced Inequalities, bridging the digital and financial divide that often leaves rural communities behind. This collaboration between Ibn Tofail University, Injaz Al-Maghrib, and Crédit Agricole represents a concrete application of Partnerships for the Goals, demonstrating how public-private academic alliances can build a more inclusive and resilient economy.
