The Islamic Development Bank has officially launched a new call for applications for its Excellence Scholarship Program dedicated to PhD candidates and doctoral graduates from member countries, including Morocco, in the field of advanced technologies. The initiative aims to support highly qualified researchers and promote scientific innovation in strategic and emerging disciplines.
According to the official announcement issued by the Islamic Development Bank, the scholarship opportunity is open to Moroccan doctoral students and PhD holders who meet the program’s eligibility requirements. The scholarship is fully funded and covers tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, medical insurance, round-trip airfare, as well as additional benefits in accordance with the program guidelines.
Through this initiative, the Islamic Development Bank seeks to strengthen research capacity, foster academic excellence, and encourage international scientific collaboration among researchers from member states. The program also provides an important opportunity for young scholars to pursue advanced research in fields linked to technological innovation and sustainable development.
This scholarship initiative strongly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 through the promotion of equitable access to higher education and advanced research opportunities. It also contributes to SDG 9 by supporting innovation-driven research in advanced technologies, while fostering international partnerships and knowledge exchange in support of sustainable scientific progress.
