From Preparation to Distribution: Anir Club Provides More Than 100 Iftar Meals Across Kenitra

Event: 12 March 2026

As the time of iftar approached on 12 March 2026, a group of students from Anir Club at Ibn Tofail University was busy with a mission that had begun long before sunset. Around tables filled with carefully selected ingredients and meal packages, members worked side by side to prepare more than one hundred iftar meals destined for beneficiaries across the city of Kenitra.

Behind the initiative lay a simple conviction: solidarity is most meaningful when it is expressed through concrete actions. Inspired by the values of generosity and mutual support that characterize the holy month of Ramadan, the club’s members came together to transform this conviction into a collective effort serving individuals and families in need.

Particular attention was given to the composition of the meals. Rather than preparing basic food packages, the volunteers sought to assemble complete iftar meals resembling those traditionally shared around Moroccan family tables during Ramadan. The objective was not only to provide food, but also to preserve the sense of dignity, care, and hospitality that accompanies the breaking of the fast. Every meal was therefore prepared with the same consideration one would devote to welcoming a guest into their own home.

The initiative required the mobilization of dozens of volunteers who participated in the selection of meal components, packaging, logistics, and distribution. Once the preparations were completed, teams headed to different areas of Kenitra to deliver the meals, ensuring that the spirit of sharing associated with Ramadan reached as many people as possible.

Through this annual initiative, Anir Club once again illustrated the important role student organizations can play in strengthening social cohesion and promoting civic responsibility. By bringing together students around a shared purpose, the initiative served as a reminder that the values celebrated during Ramadan find their fullest expression when they are translated into actions that benefit others.
