Improving the well-being at school in the light of contemporary challenges

The Faculty of Languages, Letters, and Arts at Ibn Tofail University organized March 25-26, 2022 an event in collaboration with the Moroccan Association of French Teachers. This event, known as the Spring University. The overarching theme chosen for this academic gathering is “Improving the well-being at school in the light of contemporary challenges.” Overall, this announcement signifies a collaborative effort between a university faculty and this professional association to address critical issues in education. By selecting the theme of well-being and considering contemporary challenges, the event aims to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the education system in Morocco and beyond.

The theme of the event, “Improving the well-being at school,” directly relates to the University goal of promoting well-being, both physical and mental, among UIT students and staff. This aligns with SDG 3’s objective of ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages.

This also align with SDG 4, as part of the event program discussed quality education and encouraged more discussions on the topic. While not explicitly part of SDG 3, quality education (SDG 4) is closely connected. Improving well-being at school can significantly enhance the quality of education. A positive learning environment fosters better educational outcomes and contributes to the overall well-being of individuals, aligning with the broader goals of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda.

The partnership between Ibn Tofail University and the Moroccan Association of French Teachers demonstrates a collaborative approach to addressing well-being in education. This kind of collaboration aligns with the spirit of SDG 17, which promotes partnerships for the goals at UIT, as it involves multiple stakeholders working together to achieve a common objective.
