The Higher School of Technology in Kénitra, the Faculty of Sciences in Kénitra, and the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Angers (France) organized an International Conference titled “Advanced Functional Materials for Optics, Lasers, and Photovoltaics Applications – AFMOLPhA’22” on June 14, 15, and 16, 2022.
The conference took place in the UIT University Theatre in the presence of Professor Azzeddine EL MIDAOUI, President of Ibn-Tofail University, Professor Mohammed EBN TOUHAMI, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences in Kénitra, Professor Hassan ERGUIG, Director of the Higher School of Technology in Kénitra, and His Excellency Mr. Krzysztof KARWOWSKI, ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Morocco.
The conference consisted of plenary lectures, invited lectures and oral contributions by scientists coming from different countries around the world. AFMOLPhA’ 2022 provided a unique opportunity for discussions on the most recent developments and future perspectives in the field of Advanced Functional Materials for Optics, Lasers and Photovoltaics, by leading Moroccans and international researchers.
This meeting stimulated better contacts between PhD researchers, university professors, and scientists from all over the world and created a new space and interesting opportunities for starting or reinforcing new international and multilateral collaborations. The conference discussed advancements in photovoltaic materials and technologies, aimed at ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. The conference also promoted sustainable industrialization and fostering innovation.
Aligned with Ibn Tofail University’s goal of increasing partnership for sustainable development, international conferences like AFMOLPhA’22 facilitate collaboration and partnerships between researchers, institutions, and countries, which is essential for achieving all the SDGs.
