Empowering Students Through Skills and Entrepreneurship: Ibn Tofail University collaborative Workshops

Ibn Tofail University conducted a series of professional development workshops, introducing three new topics with the participation of experts and new partners. The initiative reinforced the university’s commitment to enhancing students’ skills and providing practical knowledge relevant to today’s professional environment.

On Tuesday, November 11, participants attended the workshop “Self-Employment through Cooperatives”, organized by the Office for Cooperative Development. Wednesday, November 12, featured “Steer Your Career”, led by Injaz Morocco, which provided students with actionable strategies for career planning. On Thursday, November 13, the workshop “How to Become a Self-Employed Entrepreneur: Essential Steps for Success”, organized by Dar Al-Mouakil, guided participants through the fundamentals of entrepreneurship.

Each workshop culminated in the awarding of certificates of completion, highlighting the tangible benefits for attendees. By combining expert guidance, practical tools, and structured learning, these workshops empowered students, promoted entrepreneurial thinking, and strengthened employability, reflecting the university’s proactive role in preparing graduates for the challenges of the modern workforce.

These workshops also contributed directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By focusing on practical skill-building, entrepreneurship, and career planning, they advanced Quality Education, ensuring students received inclusive and relevant learning opportunities. The emphasis on employability and self-employment supported Decent Work and Economic Growth, while fostering innovation and entrepreneurial initiatives aligned with Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. Collectively, the workshops demonstrated how targeted educational programs can strengthen students’ capacities and promote sustainable socio-economic development.
