Event : 3 June 2026
As part of its commitment to fostering international academic cooperation and expanding opportunities for its students, Ibn Tofail University hosted an informative session on June 3, 2026, under the theme “Freedom 250: Building the Future Through U.S.–Morocco Educational Partnerships.” The event took place at the Faculty of Languages, Letters and Arts, Department of English, and brought together students interested in pursuing academic and professional opportunities abroad.
The session was led by Ms. Ichrak Touri, Education USA Adviser at the U.S. Department of State, who provided valuable insights into higher education opportunities in the United States and highlighted the growing educational partnerships between Morocco and the United States. Through her presentation, students gained a better understanding of academic pathways, scholarship opportunities, admission procedures, exchange programs, and the resources available to support their educational journeys.
The event also served as an interactive platform where students were able to engage directly with the speaker, ask questions, and receive guidance tailored to their academic aspirations. Discussions focused on the benefits of international mobility, cross-cultural exchange, and the role of education in preparing future leaders capable of addressing global challenges.
By hosting such initiatives, Ibn Tofail University continues to strengthen its internationalization strategy and create opportunities for students to broaden their academic perspectives and develop the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. The event further reinforced the University’s dedication to promoting global engagement and facilitating access to high-quality educational opportunities.
This initiative contributes directly to the achievement of several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education, by promoting equitable access to information on higher education opportunities and lifelong learning pathways. It also supports Partnerships for the Goals through the strengthening of educational cooperation between Morocco and the United States, fostering international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and capacity building. Furthermore, by encouraging student mobility and intercultural understanding, the event contributes to the development of globally competent graduates equipped to contribute to sustainable development.
The EducationUSA session reflects Ibn Tofail University’s ongoing efforts to connect its students with international opportunities and strategic partnerships, empowering them to become active participants in the global academic community and future agents of positive change.
