Ibn Tofail university and HCP Sign Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Regional Cooperation

On May 20, 2026, Ibn Tofail university signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Regional Directorate of the Haut-Commissariat au Plan of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra Region as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce scientific and institutional cooperation at the regional level.

This partnership aims to promote academic training and strengthen collaboration in the analysis of socio-economic dynamics within the region. The agreement also focuses on enhancing the exchange, dissemination, and valorization of statistical information to support research, evidence-based policymaking, and regional development initiatives.

Through this collaboration, both institutions seek to establish a framework that encourages the sharing of expertise, scientific knowledge, and data resources in order to better address socio-economic challenges and contribute to sustainable territorial development. The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for researchers, students, and institutional stakeholders through joint initiatives and collaborative projects.

The agreement further reflects the commitment of Ibn Tofail university to strengthening its engagement with public institutions and promoting research-driven approaches to regional governance and development.

This initiative aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG 4 through the promotion of academic training and research collaboration, SDG 8 by supporting socio-economic analysis and regional development strategies, SDG 9 through data-driven research and innovation, and SDG 17 by fostering institutional cooperation and knowledge exchange.
