Ibn Tofail University Launches BeSkilled Project to Enhance Soft Skills in Higher Education

Date : 12 February

Ibn Tofail University has officially launched the BeSkilled project, an Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) initiative aimed at integrating soft skills into Moroccan university curricula. This project seeks to bolster academic excellence and improve the employability of graduates by embedding transversal competencies into higher education programs.

The BeSkilled project focuses on developing key soft skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability. These competencies are increasingly recognized as vital for success in the modern workforce and are essential complements to technical knowledge. By incorporating these skills into academic programs, the project aims to produce well-rounded graduates who are better prepared to meet the demands of today’s dynamic job market.

The BeSkilled project aligns with Morocco’s ongoing educational reforms, particularly the PACTE ESRI 2030 strategy, which emphasizes the importance of transversal competencies in higher education. By supporting the development of soft skills, the project contributes to the national goal of enhancing the quality and relevance of university education.

Furthermore, the project’s focus on employability addresses the pressing need to bridge the gap between academic training and labor market requirements, ensuring that graduates possess the skills necessary to thrive in their careers.
