Morocco’s Contribution to ePIC: Ibn Tofail University’s Role in Groundbreaking Research on Matter and Energy

Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra is proud to be part of the prestigious international ePIC project (Electron-Proton and Ion Collider), an initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Energy. This groundbreaking project unites over one hundred leading scientists with the shared goal of uncovering the fundamental structure of matter and exploring the forces and particles that shape the universe.

Morocco’s participation in this project is a significant milestone, as the country will be represented by four key universities: Ibn Tofail University (Faculty of Sciences in Kenitra), Mohammed V University in Rabat (Faculty of Sciences), Mohammed First University in Oujda (Faculty of Sciences), and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (Institute of Applied Physics). This collaboration highlights Morocco’s growing presence in the global scientific community and its commitment to contributing to cutting-edge research in physics and technology.

The ePIC Project : An Overview

The ePIC project aims to study the interactions between electrons, protons, and ions, helping scientists answer essential questions about the nature of matter and energy. These efforts are expected to pave the way for breakthroughs that could significantly advance both science and technology.

Impact on Scientific Research at Ibn Tofail University
