Event: 28 October 2025
The second edition of the Casablanca Stock Exchange Championship has solidified its reputation as one of Morocco’s most influential academic competitions dedicated to promoting financial literacy, analytical thinking, and innovation among university students. Organized by the Casablanca Stock Exchange, the 2025 edition brought together 2,124 participants from 30 Moroccan higher-education institutions, including Moroccan students abroad, a participation level that reflects both the national reach and the growing educational value of this event.
Held from 10 April to 9 May 2025, the championship challenged students to manage virtual investment portfolios under real-market conditions using authentic financial data. This format required participants to navigate uncertainty, analyze economic indicators, and make strategic decisions in a dynamic environment. By mirroring the realities of financial markets, the competition helps students develop essential problem-solving skills, encourages critical thinking, and cultivates a mindset of innovation, qualities that are indispensable in today’s rapidly evolving economic landscape.
The award ceremony took place on Tuesday, 28 October 2025, at the Casablanca Stock Exchange, where the best-performing students from various categories were honored. Prizes were awarded to top-ranked participants, including overall winners and category-based distinctions. These recognitions aim not only to celebrate academic excellence but also to encourage young talents to pursue careers in finance, economics, and investment, reinforcing the importance of applied learning and real-world readiness.
Among this year’s distinguished laureates, Nada Benfikri, a bachelor’s student at Ibn Tofail’s Faculty of Economics and Management, earned first place in the Female Category. Her achievement is the result of her personal discipline, analytical rigor, and strong problem-solving abilities. Although supported by the solid academic environment of Ibn Tofail University, her success is above all the fruit of her dedication, determination, and hard work.
Nada’s accomplishment also highlights the effectiveness of the learning ecosystem at FEGK. The faculty provides students with modern academic resources, including a digital learning platform, extensive course materials, and inclusive facilities accessible to all learners. A major asset of FEGK is its dedicated trading room, created in partnership with the Casablanca Stock Exchange, which offers 48 computers and 96 seats for market simulations. This high-level facility enables students to practice investment strategies under conditions similar to real trading environments, strengthening their analytical competency and technical expertise.
The importance of such competitions extends far beyond academic recognition. By participating, students gain hands-on experience that enhances their employability, confidence, and ability to approach complex problems with structured reasoning. These events stimulate innovation by pushing students to experiment, take initiative, and evaluate the consequences of their decisions. They also develop soft skills such as time management, resilience, adaptability, and teamwork, qualities highly valued in the global job market.
Ultimately, Nada Benfikri’s achievement is a source of pride for Ibn Tofail University. It reflects the value of sustained effort within a supportive academic environment and highlights how such frameworks enable students to develop, challenge themselves, and translate knowledge into practice. Her participation encourages fellow students to engage in experiences that foster critical thinking, professionalism, and ambition. At the institutional level, achievements of this nature further motivate Ibn Tofail University to intensify its efforts in equipping students with practical, real-world training that complements academic learning. More broadly, initiatives such as the Casablanca Stock Exchange Championship play an important role in strengthening students’ skills and confidence, preparing a forward-thinking generation ready to contribute to Morocco’s future.
