NAYAUP 2025: A Celebration of Women and Sustainable Urban Futures

Event : 6 March 2025

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Ibn Tofail University is proud to host and organize the NAYAUP 2025 National Conference on March 8, at the lecture hall of the University’s Institute of Sports Professions. This significant academic gathering marks an important occasion to honor women’s contributions while addressing key global challenges in urban development.

Organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the conference will bring together a diverse group of researchers, urban planners, academics, and policy experts to discuss sustainable urban planning and design. The goal is to explore innovative strategies for building cities that are not only more resilient and forward-looking but also inclusive and equitable for all members of society.

The timing of this conference on International Women’s Day reinforces a powerful message: women are the cornerstone of change, and their leadership and determination are vital to shaping the future of our cities and communities. By placing women at the center of the urban development discourse, the event advocates for inclusive planning and decision-making processes that reflect diverse voices and drive meaningful social progress.

As Morocco advances toward sustainable and people-focused urban solutions, NAYAUP 2025 serves as a vital platform for knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary collaboration, and policy innovation. Ibn Tofail University, through the dedicated efforts of its Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, reaffirms its commitment to equality, academic excellence, and social impact.
