Event : 10 December, 2025
On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Ibn Tofail University organized an open forum entitled “The Inclusive University,” reaffirming its commitment to equality, inclusion, and respect for human rights within higher education. This initiative reflects the university’s strategic engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those centered on inclusion, equity, and social justice.
Held on December 10, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., in Room 3 of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the event brought together students, faculty members, and university staff to engage in constructive dialogue around inclusive practices in higher education. The discussions focused on introducing the inclusive club, examining the current state of inclusion at the university, and highlighting the role of inclusive student clubs in promoting participation, accessibility, and equal opportunities for all learners.
Through this forum, Ibn Tofail University contributed directly to Reduced Inequalities by advocating for the inclusion of persons with disabilities and marginalized groups within the academic environment. The event also aligned with Quality Education by emphasizing equitable access to education and inclusive learning spaces, and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by promoting human rights, participation, and inclusive institutional practices. This initiative underscores the university’s role as a socially responsible institution committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and rights-based academic community.
