On April 23, 2026 Ibn Tofail University hosted a training day dedicated to Web of Science, bringing together researchers and doctoral candidates at the Faculty of Sciences of Kenitra. The event was organized in collaboration with the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST) and Clarivate, reinforcing the university’s commitment to enhancing research quality and scientific visibility.
The training session aimed to strengthen participants’ understanding of advanced research strategies and scientific publication practices. As scholarly communication becomes increasingly competitive and data-driven, mastering international research databases and publication tools has become essential for researchers seeking to maximize the impact and visibility of their work.
The session was led by Jamal El Ouahi, a specialist in bibliometric tools and scientific information management, who provided participants with an in-depth overview of the Web of Science platform. Through practical demonstrations and interactive discussions, attendees explored the platform’s key functionalities, including literature search techniques, citation analysis, research performance indicators, and strategies for identifying high-impact journals.
Participants also gained valuable insights into optimizing their scientific publications, improving research visibility, and effectively navigating the international scholarly publishing landscape. The training highlighted the importance of evidence-based research practices and the strategic use of bibliometric data to support academic excellence.
