On 23 September 2025, Ibn Tofail University hosted an important academic event jointly organized by the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Sport Sciences and the Laboratory for Studies and Research in Law and Political Sciences. The study day, titled « Cross Perspectives on Draft Law No. 59.24: Governance, Scientific Research, Innovation, and Social Inclusion », provided a structured platform for multidisciplinary dialogue on one of the most significant legislative reforms shaping Morocco’s higher education and research landscape.
This event brought together university scholars, policy experts, and institutional actors for an in-depth reflection on the implications of Bill 59.24. Discussions examined how the proposed legislation seeks to modernize governance mechanisms, strengthen scientific research systems, and encourage innovation across academic institutions. By presenting intersecting perspectives from law, political science, sports sciences, and the broader social sciences, the study day fostered a rich understanding of the challenges and opportunities inherent in the reform.
The exchanges also underscored the essential role of social inclusion in national development policies.
