The Center of Excellence in Digital Humanities at Ibn Tofail University – Kenitra launched an international conference on November 20-21, inviting guests to discover the latest reflections on digital humanities. This pioneering event is dedicated to exploring the interactions between the humanities and social sciences and modern technologies.



Mr. Mohamed Larbi Kerkeb the President of Ibn Tofail University took part in the event by delivering a speech to warmly welcome the participants and express gratitude to the organizing committee for the valuable insights the conference aims to provide. His participation in such events inspires the scientific community to organize more impactful gatherings, contributing significantly to innovation in the field of human sciences.
This groundbreaking conference aimed to foster discussions on how digital tools and methodologies are transforming the study and practice of humanities. The event covered a range of topics presented in different languages ; Arabic, French and English.
Objectives of the conference
The conference focused on
- Exploring the rapid transformations of digital humanities : Artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual reality, big data, and simulation-based research methods
- Addressing contemporary challenges: privacy protection, data security, and enhancing researchers’ digital skills
- Highlighting opportunities: innovation and creativity in research and teaching through new technologies and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Participants included leading scholars from both national and international institutions. They shared insights through keynote speeches, interactive presentations and panel discussions. These sessions highlighted case studies of successful digital humanities projects.
