International Mobility Programs: Empowering Students Through Global Academic Partnerships

The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), in collaboration with the German Research Foundation (DFG), has launched a new call for applications for its Scientific Cooperation Visits Programme. This initiative is open to postdoctoral researchers from developing countries in all academic fields. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to undertake a three-month research visit at a leading research institute in Germany. The program aims to foster international scientific collaboration, enhance research capacities, and promote knowledge exchange across disciplines.

As part of its international cooperation agreements, Ibn Tofail University (UIT) has signed an inter-institutional agreement with Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences (SUAS) in Germany to promote student mobility. This program is mainly intended for Master’s students from partner institutions such as ENCG and ENSA. It offers the opportunity to spend one exchange semester during the 2025–2026 academic year, without a scholarship, in a stimulating and intercultural academic environment. This initiative reflects UIT’s commitment to broadening its students’ horizons, enhancing their exposure to other disciplines and cultures, and strengthening its ties with higher education institutions at the international level.

As part of the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant Program, the government of Azerbaijan is offering fully funded scholarships for the 2025–2026 academic year. This prestigious initiative aims to strengthen international academic cooperation by welcoming students from around the world to pursue higher education at Azerbaijani universities. The program provides financial support covering tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses, and is open to applicants in a wide range of academic fields. It reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to educational exchange and the development of global academic partnerships.
